SPS™ offers MilSpec®, a commercial version of a genuine military MRE, produced by The Womick Company, the largest supplier of MRE's to the United States Department of Defense. These MRE's contain the same components that have made the MRE famous: heatable pouch entrees, side dishes, condiments and accessories in a study weather and insect proof retort pouch.

A retort pouch can be described as a "flexible can". The pouch consists of three layers: a middle layer of aluminum surrounded by two outer layers of an advanced polyolefin. This packaging is resistant to rat, insect, bacteria and disease infestation! This package assures a good-tasting, shelf-stable food in a flexible, strong, lightweight pouch.

SAFE! MRE's contain no artificial flavors or colors, and have no MSG! SPS™ MRE's require no refrigeration and no preparation. The entrée's may be eaten cold. For a hot entrée, simple place the unopened entrée pouch in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes.
